Worsted yarn scraps
1 pair #5 needles
Tapestry needle
Bunny is made in 4 pieces - 1 long "arm", 2 ears and 1 tubular body.
Arms: ?Cast on 12 sts. K 4 rows. Cast off. Leave an 8" tail, break yarn.
Ears (make 2): Cast on 3 sts. Knit 2 rows. Increase 2 sts. into next knit row (5 sts on needle). Knit 4 rows. Decrease 2 st. into next knit row. (3 sts. on needle). Knit 5 rows. Decrease 1 st. in next knit row. (2 sts. on needle). Knit 2 rows. Knit 2 tog. and bind off. Weave tail of yarn to base of ear.
Body: Cast on 15 sts. (5 sts on each of 3 needles). Join and work a tiny tube for 3 rows.
Row 4: knit to last 3 st. Make a bubble tail*. Knit 2. Knit 6 rows.
Row 11: K 3 sts. Insert one end of arm. Knit 5, insert other end of arm piece. Knit to end of row. Knit 5 more rows.
Row 17: Decrease for neck shaping: K2, K2 tog. to end of row. Knit 1 row.
Row 19: Increase in every other st. again to 16 sts. on needle. Knit 6 rows.
Row 26: K2 tog. across entire row (8 sts. on needle). Knit 1 row.
Row 28: K2 tog. across entire row (4 sts. on needle)
Break yarn, draw up sts. on thread tightly. Turn inside out and weave in ends of yarn.
Sew on ears, and secure arm-piece inside with a few sts. Embroider face, whiskers and tie a bow around neck.
1: Hoffman Flower Garden: cut 12 8-1/4" squares
2: Moda Playing With Marbles Blue: cut 3 11-7/8" sq. into 4 triangles each
3: Moda Playing With Marbles Green: cut 2-1/4" strips for binding
4: Moda Playing With Marbles Red: cut 2 5-7/8" sq. in half
5: Moda Playing With Marbles Yellow: cut 3-1/2" strips for border
Additionally, cut each of the colors 2-5 into 2-1/2" squares (24 of each color).
6: Backing can be any Playing With Marbles (we used Yellow)
